Alternator Bracket

This alternator bracket allows 5.4L and 4.6L DOHC owners the capability of moving the alternator to the left side of the engine. It utilizes the alternator from the 1999-2002 power stroke diesel. Why would you want to do this? 

If you are trying to run a positive displacement supercharger, moving the alternator away from the center of the engine greatly simplifies belt routing.

If you do not like the alternator being the central focus of your engine when you open the hood.

This bracket does allow room to run the power steering pump in the factory location.

When using this bracket it will require the use of a remote oil filter to allow clearance for the alternator. 
 
This alternator setup uses the additional boss on the 5.4L front cover that mounts an idler pulley 
on the left side of the engine. This idler pulley is available through Ford under part # F65Z8678AAA for about 15.00.
